Bishop Michael Gilcreast founded Higher Hope Apostolic Church in 2001. Since childhood, Michael was a devoted worshipper who often spent time in the church. His parents were ministers at the church, which inspired him to become a minister as well as a pastor from a very young age. Michael’s passion for serving people stems from his ambition to pursue his career in obstetrics and gynecology. He studied at the Community College of the Air Force and completed his graduation from the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Along with being an author, Michael is also the former Leader of the Pentagon Special Emphasis Committee for the Mentoring Program. He has been awarded numerous titles, including Valedictorian for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW) in the DC, Maryland, and Delaware Council for Minister Training School, Retired Air Force at the Pentagon and Bishop at Higher Hope Apostolic Church.
